Water supply lines, pipes, and valves inside a home or business are a common source of a clean water or “category 1” water damage loss. As a Master Certified Restorer, we know that many materials affected in a category 1 loss such as; drywall, carpet, and some wood flooring have a good chance of being restored if it is dried quickly and properly. It is important to address a water loss as soon as possible to prevent further damage. The longer any water loss sits the more difficult it becomes to restore the affected materials, and the greater the risk of mold growth.
